PROJECT: Deer Creek Watershed Conservancy Mapping

PRODUCED FOR: Deer Creek Watershed Conservancy

STATUS: Active (10-15-97 to Present)

OBJECTIVE: To develop GIS map coverages and provide hardcopy maps to support the Deer Creek Watershed Planning effort.

SUMMARY: In 1996, the Deer Creek Watershed Conservancy secured funding to develop a plan for the watershed. This effort included an existing conditions report. The GIC created a series of thematic map coverages that depict conditions currently existing within the watershed.

Additional maps will be added as the watershed planning effort continues. This includes filling in gaps where more information is needed and supporting the development of a watershed management strategy.

PROJECT AREA: Deer Creek Watershed in Tehama county.
